Experience Exchange Between Bulgarian and Polish Social Entrepreneurs

Maria’s World Foundation hosted Magdalena Majorczyk who is a social entrepreneur and manager of the Polish Foundation JMP, based in Krakow. She was our guest all week (23-28 of October 2022).

The lovely Magdalena immersed herself in the work of the “Worlds” Day Care Centre and the Work Centre Training Kitchen. We organized visits to two places where young people – users of our services – work: at Stanimira Chocolate House, Kalin – at Daro. Magdalena met with our colleagues and friends from the #ZADOBROTO Project and Arms Wide Open, with whom she shared her experience in supporting people who fled the war in Ukraine.

She also participated in a working meeting with representatives of social enterprises in Bulgaria, organized by the Bulgarian Center for Not-for-Profit Law-BCNL.

Along with sharing our knowledge and expertise from experience in managing social enterprises, Magdalena also shared her experience in social entrepreneurship in Poland. She told us about a small shop for donated items, the sales of which support educational activities in support of children and families in need.

Users of the “Worlds” Day Care Centre, including Maria, did not miss the opportunity to take a photo with Magda in the background of one of the wreaths we are preparing for Christmas.

We are delighted to be part of the SEHUBS Co-creating Hubs for Social Enterprises project shadowing programme, organized by the Bulgarian Centre for Not-for-Profit Law.
