From the 21st to the 26th of August, the first visit to the international shadowing program for social enterprises from Bulgaria, Greece, Italy and Poland – SE HUBS took place.

The Foundation Człowiek w Potrzebie from Poland hosted representatives of the Karin Dom Foundation from Bulgaria, Ms Bistra Boncheva and Ms Veneta Mileva, for six days.

The Karin Dom Foundation runs a center for children with certificates in Warna and a Montessori kindergarten, providing children and families with comprehensive social, health and educational assistance.

During the visit, the following places relevant to the exchange of experience in the operation of a social enterprise were visited :

• La Fontaine Foundation, where workshops for children were attended and discussions were held about methods of working with charges,
• Klubokawiarnia Pożyteczna, where development and maturation were discussed and introducing people with intellectual disabilities to the labor market and the involvement of their parents in this process,
• Montessori Mountain School in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, a school in the form of home education, where the education and development of children (not only with the Montessori method) and the involvement of parents in education were discussed,
• Pedagogów na podwórku, a social organization from Żyrardów, where people participated in classes with children and talked about breaking down barriers and broadening horizons.

During the visit, Ms Bistra Boncheva and Ms Veneta Mileva learned about the methods of working with children from different backgrounds and shared the solutions used in the daily work of the “Karin Dom” Foundation.
